Drone Flight Academy DronePilot Basic
The DronePilot Basic training is the mandatory minimum course for the EU drone licence in the higher risk category (EASA Open category A1/A3 + A2). You complete this training entirely online at the Drone Flight Academy. Once finished, you can be confident that you are flying in accordance with the latest EU regulations. You will also learn to fly more safely and more efficiently. The entire course takes approximately 12 hours.
The platform consists of an online learning environment and two online theory exams. In the learning environment, you build up knowledge through texts, videos, images and practice questions. You then complete the course with two online theory exams. The first exam consists of 40 questions covering the core subjects, the second of 30 questions. After passing, you are permitted to fly heavier drones in built-up areas. Once you have passed both exams, you can apply to the RDW for the European-recognised drone licence. After completing this course, you are permitted to fly all types of drones.
How does it work?
After purchasing the Drone Flight Academy DronePilot Basic, you will receive a one-time voucher code. This code gives you access to the Drone Flight Academy's online learning environment. You have unlimited access and three attempts to complete the online exam. If you do not pass the exam after three attempts, you can receive personal support. All your questions are answered within one hour on working days between 08:00 and 18:00. You will receive the registration link from the RDW within 48 hours.
