Occasionally, it’s necessary to clean your camera’s sensor. If you frequently change lenses, dust can quickly build up on the sensor. This causes unwanted dark spots in your photos and videos — something you definitely want to avoid. Want to clean your camera’s sensor? Visit one of our stores. Dust doesn’t belong on your sensor and needs to be removed. Before you take on these particles yourself, it’s wise to consider a trained cleaner. Your camera’s sensor is a sensitive component. A small mistake can have bigger consequences than the dust itself. Our cleaners know exactly how to clean everything properly, ensuring you don’t cause any damage.
Please note: To clean the sensor, the camera must have a fully charged original battery. Also bring a lens and memory card. We will take a test shot so you can immediately see a ‘before’ and ‘after’ image. Please keep in mind that you may need to leave your camera with us for a day. Due to busy periods, we are not always able to clean your sensor immediately. We will of course contact you when it’s ready and you can pick up your camera again.

This depends on your camera. If you use a DSLR and frequently change lenses, you should clean the sensor about every six months. With a mirrorless camera, this may need to be done more often. Unlike a DSLR, the sensor in a mirrorless camera is not protected by a mirror, which means dust can accumulate more quickly. If you use a camera with a fixed lens, you generally need to clean the sensor less often.
Yes. In a self-cleaning system, dust may become loose but can remain inside the compartment. As a result, it may settle elsewhere again. In addition, stubborn dust can still remain on the sensor. However, it is a useful feature if you notice dust particles while shooting.
