Product Condition
Our experts inspect every product we take in before it is listed for sale. Based on this inspection, they determine the overall condition of the product. That way, you know exactly what to expect.
Camera Shutter Count
Every time you take a photo with a camera, the shutter is activated. This is called a click. The shutter is a mechanical component and wears over time, just like a car accumulates mileage. Therefore, the shutter count provides a good indication of how intensively a camera has been used.
Every camera has an expected shutter lifespan, usually between 100,000 and 300,000 clicks, depending on the model and brand.

Pre-owned equipment consists of products that have already had an owner and have therefore been used before. The previous owner traded the equipment in with us, after which we sell it to a new owner.

We take our products and customers very seriously. Every used camera, lens, or accessory is thoroughly inspected by one of our experts before being listed in our webshop. You will not find unreliable pre-owned products at Kamera Express.
Because we are confident in the quality of our pre-owned products, we provide up to a 1-year warranty on every product.
Part of our extensive pre-owned inventory can be viewed in our stores. We offer a rotating selection of pre-owned photography equipment that you can inspect. It is also possible to ask a store to have a specific pre-owned item transferred there so you can view it before making a purchase.
This varies by item. The description of each pre-owned product specifies which accessories are included. Cameras always come with at least a battery and a charger.
We use four condition grades:
- Like New: The product is almost indistinguishable from a new item and comes complete with all accessories and original packaging.
- Barely Used: The product is in excellent condition and shows only minimal, hardly visible signs of use.
- Light Signs of Use: The product has been used and shows minor signs of wear, such as small scratches on the body and/or a small amount of dust inside the lens.
- Normal Signs of Use: The product has been used and shows multiple signs of wear, such as scratches on the body, dust inside the lens, and/or scratches on the front lens element.
You can always review the product through the accompanying photos on the website. These are unique photos that accurately represent the actual condition of the product.
