With 10 AF area modes, you can optimise AF settings for every shoot. In addition, deep-learning AI enables highly sophisticated, simultaneous detection of up to nine different subject types. Autofocus is combined with 3D tracking, making it easier to capture every important moment. The Z9 mirrorless camera truly stands in a class of its own, with top speeds of up to 120 fps with full AF/AE. It's also possible to shoot at 20 fps and capture more than 1,000 full-resolution images in a single rapid burst. Rolling-shutter distortion is virtually a thing of the past, thanks to the world's fastest sensor scan speeds and extremely short shutter speeds.
The Nikon Z9 also offers groundbreaking possibilities for videographers. Thanks to its impressive imaging power, you can shoot full frame in 8K at up to 60 fps and in 4K at up to 120 fps. Time-lapse videos can also be recorded in-camera. 8K video at 30 fps can be recorded continuously for approximately 125 minutes at a time — the longest recording duration of any mirrorless camera. Furthermore, compatibility with the ProRes 422 HQ recording format ensures the Z9 meets the many demands of video production.
The Z9's electronic viewfinder (EVF) offers a brightness of no less than 3,000 nits with Dual Stream technology. This ensures footage is always live and without blackouts, so you never miss a moment. The Z9 also marks another first for Nikon: it features a monitor that can be tilted horizontally and vertically across four axes, allowing you to quickly and flexibly adjust your framing to suit any situation. The camera's ergonomics have been refined and improved based on feedback from professional photographers. The design is more robust than the D6, and a new AF mode button lets you switch between AF mode and AF area mode while shooting through the viewfinder.

The Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter makes using an F-mount lens with your Nikon Z camera more comfortable than ever. Improved ergonomics provide ample space to position your fingers comfortably when shooting in portrait orientation, even when wearing gloves. Whichever F-mount lens you use, there is no loss of image quality, and NIKKOR lenses without Vibration Reduction (VR) will reach new levels of sharpness.\*
You can shoot with hundreds of F-mount lenses with automatic exposure. F-mount lenses with a built-in autofocus motor retain full autofocus capabilities.\*\* When using an F-mount lens with VR, in-lens yaw-and-pitch detection is supplemented by in-camera roll detection. When shooting with a lens without VR, yaw, pitch, and roll are all corrected in-camera.
The adapter integrates seamlessly in more ways than just operation. The FTZ II mount adapter is finished with a leather-coloured lacquer, allowing the appearance of your F-mount lens to blend smoothly with the adapter and your Nikon Z camera. The adapter features a dust- and splash-resistant construction with rubber seals for lens and camera connections, as well as buttons and levers. The sturdy, lightweight magnesium alloy barrel means you can easily incorporate the adapter into your photography kit.
