Pin-sharp precision
Thanks to the full-frame, stacked 45.7 Megapixel sensor, the camera delivers images with fantastic resolution and fast readout speeds. In addition to RAW (including high-efficiency) and JPEG, the camera also shoots in HEIF with 10-bit support for flawless colour precision.
An advanced algorithm prevents noise and flickering. The intelligent automatic White balance ensures the correct colour temperature in every situation.
Blazing fast
Despite the absence of a mechanical shutter, the camera is incredibly fast with a minimum Shutter speed of 1/32000. Thanks to these short Shutter speeds, you can freeze motion in an instant — even in extremely bright conditions, you can achieve an unprecedented Depth of field. The Long exposure of 30 seconds can be extended to 900 seconds in M mode for compelling long-exposure shots.
With the Z8, you're always ready for action. You can shoot Burst shooting in RAW at up to 20fps. When shooting in JPEG, you can even reach 120fps! With impressive burst capabilities, you'll never miss a moment again.
Flawless focus
The intelligent Autofocus supports detection of people, animals, and vehicles. With 493 focus points, your intended subject is captured quickly, sharply, and precisely. The focusing system also works in low light, making it ideal for astrophotography, concerts, and other dark conditions. With various Autofocus modes and speeds, there's always a method that perfectly suits your shooting style. The Z8 also features 3D tracking AF, ideal for fast, erratically moving subjects. The 5-axis in-body stabilisation prevents unwanted camera shake for pin-sharp images. With 6 stops of compensation, you can easily shoot handheld even at longer Shutter speeds.
Professional video results
For cinema-worthy footage, the Z8 lets you capture 12-bit RAW recordings in 8.3K at 60fps. For even smoother slow-motion video, you can film in 4K at up to 120fps! The Z8 also supports Apple ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW video output, giving you ultimate control over your footage while keeping file sizes manageable. Other supported codecs include H.265, H.264, N-Log, and HLG. Whatever video content you create, the Z8 delivers pin-sharp, detailed images with accurate colours.
Ease of use
The 3.2-inch LCD screen is tiltable and rotatable. Thanks to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB-LAN connectivity options, transferring your images to external devices is effortless. The EN-EL15C Battery offers a battery life of 275 shots; an external Battery grip is available for extra power. The weather-resistant design makes the Z8 extra robust and versatile.
Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter
The Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter makes using an F-mount lens with your Nikon Z camera more comfortable than ever. Discover a world of lenses and expand the repertoire of your Nikon Z camera with F-mount lenses. Improved ergonomics provide ample room to position your fingers comfortably when shooting in portrait orientation, even when wearing gloves. Whichever F-mount lens you use, there is no loss of image quality, and NIKKOR lenses without Vibration Reduction (VR) will reach new levels of sharpness.\*
You can shoot with hundreds of F-mount lenses with automatic Exposure. F-mount lenses with a built-in Autofocus motor retain full Autofocus capabilities.\*\* When using an F-mount lens with VR, in-lens yaw-and-pitch detection is supplemented by in-camera roll detection. When shooting with a lens without VR, yaw, pitch, and roll are all corrected in-camera.
The adapter integrates seamlessly in more than just operation. The FTZ II Mount Adapter is finished with a leather-coloured lacquer, allowing the appearance of your F-mount lens to blend smoothly with the adapter and your Nikon Z camera. The adapter features a dust- and splash-resistant construction with rubber seals for lens and camera connections, as well as buttons and levers. The sturdy, lightweight magnesium alloy barrel means you can easily incorporate the adapter into your photography kit.
