The maximum aperture of f/1.2 excels in challenging lighting conditions and also offers advantages when working with shallow depth of field, selective focus techniques, and delivering a unique bokeh quality.

The optical layout includes a Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics element; an element that virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations. This ensures remarkable clarity and colour accuracy. The UD and aspherical elements minimise distortion for greater sharpness and high resolution. Individual elements also feature an Air Sphere Coating; a layer that suppresses flare and ghosting for high contrast and colour fidelity. This comes in very handy when working in situations where you're dealing with overly bright light or backlight.

The Ultrasonic Motor provides fast, near-silent autofocus and continuous manual focusing. The innovative Control Ring of the RF 85mm f/1.2L USM enables intuitive control of exposure settings. This lens is a must-have if you want to take your work as a portrait photographer to the next level.
