The EOS C70 is a Cinema camera with RF mount and a Super 35mm DGO 4K sensor. Featuring 4K 120P Slow Motion, a wide dynamic range and Dual Pixel CMOS AF in a compact body.

The design includes a multifunctional grip with three customisable mode dials and a multi-directional joystick, making the video camera easy to operate. The body is made from carbon fibre and polycarbonate, designed to be a strong and lightweight workhorse. Its compact size means you can easily mount the body on gimbals, portable or shoulder rigs, drones and in FPV helmets.

The EOS C70 offers an impressively wide dynamic range of more than 16 stops. This is because every pixel of the image on the Dual Gain sensor is read at two gain levels (high and low). This combination not only preserves detail and quality in both highlights and shadows, but also enhances them. By making use of Canon's advanced Canon Log 2 & 3 gamma profiles, you can be confident of capturing footage that offers excellent flexibility in post-production. It also supports standard PQ and HLG HDR.

Professional video equipment typically offers a broad selection of frame rates, resolutions and formats to meet almost any need. The EOS C70 goes a step further with DCI 4K recording up to 120fps in 10-bit 4:2:2. For even greater speed, a Super 16mm crop option enables DCI 2K recording up to 180fps. Users can even load custom LUTs to preview the look and record footage using Long GOP encoding via XF-AVC, HEVC and H.264.

The Dual Pixel CMOS AF system in the C70 uses Canon's EOS iTR AF X, built with deep learning technology, and can track moving subjects with greater precision via the large touchscreen. You can change formats, resolution, start/stop recording, adjust the aperture and more simply by tapping the screen. The entire camera is built with video in mind, offering numerous buttons for quick access to common settings and plenty of customisation options. For vertical shooting (ideal for social media), the C70 features a 1/4"-20 tripod socket on the side of the camera grip.

Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x

Canon's innovative new EF-RF optical adapter, the Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x, converts the light transmission from full-frame to the Super 35mm image format. It widens the angle of view and increases optical sensitivity, while seamlessly integrating with the camera's optical corrections. This adapter significantly expands the list of compatible lenses by including Canon's renowned EF lens range. In addition to the RF mount connection, four screws secure the adapter firmly to the EOS C70 camera. Once mounted, the adapter maintains a comparable angle of view from your full-frame lenses on the Super 35mm sensor, while increasing the speed of the attached lens. The adapter also passes all EF information through to the RF contacts, so on certain EF lenses, full DPAF and metadata are available with the EOS C70 camera, functioning in much the same way as with a native EF mount.
