Canon EOS C300 Mark III
The Canon EOS C300 Mark III is a Super 4K video camera for broadcast and documentary filmmakers. It also enables corporate video producers to capture their creative vision with impressive cinematic quality.
The Canon C300 Mark III with Dual Pixel CMOS AF features a Super 35mm CMOS sensor, making autofocus faster and more accurate. The EF lens mount offers compatibility not only with Canon's extensive range of DSLR lenses, but also with EF-mount CN-E cinema prime lenses and zoom lenses. The Super 35mm sensor is paired with the Canon DIGIC DV7 image processor, which applies an innovative method to enhance colour performance.
The camera records 4K video to a single CFexpress card using the XF-AVC codec and H.264 format MXF wrapper. For greater flexibility when adjusting your footage during post-production, the camera also offers Canon Log Gamma mode, resulting in excellent tonal reproduction in the highlight and lowlight areas of an image and an extended dynamic range.
The camcorder features a single 12G-SDI output, timecode I/O and Genlock input BNCs. The body has a modular design that can be built up using optional accessories. The EOS C300 Mark III can be expanded with an OLED electronic viewfinder EVF-V50, LCD monitor LM-V2, and many other accessories.
The Dual Pixel CMOS AF upgrade makes use of the existing Super 35mm sensor in the Canon EOS C300 Mark III. Dual Pixel CMOS AF is a sensor-based phase-detection AF technology designed to support video recording. The technology has been adapted to the capabilities of the cinema camera and is optimised for fast, natural focusing. Keeping moving subjects sharp is straightforward and effortless.
