The Sony XLR-A4 is the professional digital XLR audio adapter for the Sony A7R VI and other compatible Sony cameras. With recording up to 96 kHz and 32-bit float, you can capture both quiet and loud sounds flawlessly without distortion and without external amplification. The ideal solution for videographers and content creators who want studio-quality sound on location.
  • Supports 32-bit float audio for maximum dynamics without distortion
  • Suitable for a wide range of audio equipment
  • No standard XLR input for an external microphone

Sony XLR-A4 Digital XLR Audio Adapter

The Sony XLR-A4 enables professional digital audio recording directly in-camera via up to four channels. Using the Multi Interface Shoe, you can connect both XLR microphones and 3.5mm stereo microphones—without extra cables or external recorders. The adapter is specially developed for the Sony A7R VI and delivers the audio quality professionals demand on demanding productions.

Thanks to dual A/D converters and recording up to 96 kHz and 32-bit float, both quiet and loud sounds are captured clearly, with no risk of distortion and without needing to set gain on location. The compact, reinforced design ensures stable use on location, while the included extension cable allows flexible microphone placement. In addition, the adapter can be used via USB Audio Class 2.0 as an audio interface for monitoring and editing on a PC.
