The Sony VG-C5 vertical grip is designed to provide the same secure grip and control access as the camera's horizontal handle, offering excellent comfort and ease of use during long shooting sessions. The grip and shutter release button share the same ergonomic design as the camera body. Control access is equally comparable, featuring an independent custom button on the front (C5), a front dial, and L and R buttons on the rear with a lock function on the R button. Operation is identical whether shooting horizontally or vertically.

The VG-C5 vertical grip can accommodate two NP-FZ100 batteries, and circuit refinements support parallel power delivery to provide a longer operating time than the VG-C4EM vertical grip. The remaining charge for both batteries is displayed simultaneously on the camera's screen, allowing you to keep shooting with confidence.

Sharing the same dust- and moisture-resistant design as the camera body itself, the VG-C5 vertical grip functions as part of a reliable system that continues to perform dependably even in challenging conditions. It is also built on a dedicated magnesium alloy frame for outstanding durability.

The VG-C5 vertical grip features an easily accessible slide-out battery tray, tripod socket, camera strap attachment points, AF ON / AEL / C1 / C2 / C5 buttons, multi-selector and R-lock on the rear, and supports power supply and charging via the camera's USB Type-C connector.
