The Sony A7 mark III Body is a full frame mirrorless camera that is perfect for professional photographers and videographers. With this camera you get even more speed and even higher image quality than with its predecessors in the A7 series. The camera features a 24.2 MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor and lets you shoot video in 4K resolution. With no fewer than 693 phase-detection points covering 93% of the frame, plus 425 contrast AF points, you benefit from fast and highly accurate focusing. The impressive ISO range of 100-51200 (expandable to 50-204800) makes the A7 mark III an excellent choice in low-light situations too. With the high-quality XGA OLED Tru-Finder viewfinder you can keep a close eye on your subject, and even the smallest details are reproduced true to life. You can also choose between 'High' and 'Standard' image quality for both the viewfinder and the camera's monitor.
Besides taking photos, the Sony A7 mark III Body is also extremely well suited to shooting professional video. The camera records in 4K quality across the full width of the full frame sensor. The new HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) picture profile supports an HDR workflow, so you can play back your footage in true-to-life quality on HDR-compatible TVs. For more colour gradation, you can use the S-Log2 and S-Log3 functions. Do you prefer to shoot in Full HD? Then you can count on 120fps at up to 100 Mbps. Ideal when you want to edit your footage and, for example, add slow-motion shots to your videos.
What makes the Sony A7 mark III so suitable for professional photographers is, among other things, the dual memory card slot. It lets you shoot for longer without having to swap the memory card in your camera. In addition, the battery lasts for up to 710 shots per charge. With the extensive 'My Menu' function you can save up to 30 different menu options and call them up whenever you need them. It's the ideal way to get quick access to your favourite settings and options. The mirrorless camera is also dust- and splash-resistant, so you don't have to put the camera away straight away in bad weather or in a humid environment.
