Sigma WR Ceramic Protect Filter 105mm

The Sigma WR Ceramic Protector is a protective filter from Sigma's top-of-the-line range. Clear Glass Ceramic was developed in collaboration with a glass manufacturer that has combined the latest advances and techniques from the aerospace industry with Sigma's years of experience. The result is a series of filters that is unrivalled in durability and performance.

Extremely strong and durable

Clear Glass Ceramic is harder than chemically strengthened glass and offers greater flexibility than regular sapphire crystal glass. Thanks to a special heat treatment, microcrystals in Clear Glass Ceramic are evenly distributed for consistent hardness throughout the glass. This makes the glasswork far more resistant to damage such as scratches or cracks. Clear Glass Ceramic is up to 10 times stronger than conventional protective filters and up to 3 times stronger than chemically strengthened glass of the same thickness. Thanks to a special water-repellent and anti-static coating, maintenance is a breeze. Water is repelled and smudges such as fingerprints can be wiped away with a single swipe.

Quality that lasts for years

This series offers the best protection you can expect from a filter. The optical performance is equally impressive: the WR coating reflects just 0.24 percent of visible light, minimising disturbances such as flare and ghosting. Thanks to the included protective cover, you can enjoy your Ceramic Protector for years to come.
