The PolarPro Spectra Split 50 PRYZM Series – 67mm is a split-diopter filter that lets you capture two planes of focus in a single image. One half of the filter magnifies and shortens the focal distance, while the other half remains unchanged. The filter rotates for precise alignment of the focus plane and works best at an aperture between f/1.2 and f/4.

PolarPro Spectra Split 50 PRYZM Series – 67mm

The PolarPro Spectra Split 50 PRYZM Series – 67mm is a split-diopter filter with a strength of +2 diopters. One half of the filter magnifies and shortens the focal distance, while the other half remains unchanged, allowing you to capture two separate planes of focus in a single image.

The filter works best at an aperture between f/1.2 and f/4 for a smooth transition between the two planes of focus. Longer focal lengths intensify the split effect, making the background appear farther away and magnifying the foreground subject more strongly. The rotating design lets you align the focus plane precisely.

The filter is made of PolarPro Cinema Series optical glass with a scratch- and reflection-resistant coating and low dispersion. The housing is a CNC-machined aluminium frame with a matte black anodised finish and standard screw-thread mounting.

This is a specialised filter for creative shots and is not intended for everyday use. To achieve the desired effect, focus on the distant element using manual or autofocus, then adjust the focus on the near subject by moving the camera forward or backward. The effect cannot be authentically reproduced in editing software.
