The X4 Air features a razor-sharp 8K resolution, meaning reframed videos are the same quality as standard camera footage, making editing easier. Because footage is recorded using high-quality H.265 compression, the 8K files are small enough to edit with the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio.
The X4 Air supports video up to 8K30, 6K48 and 4K60 for smooth ultra-high-resolution recordings. The camera also features Me Mode, which records video at a 170° field of view, perfect for POV videos with an invisible selfie stick. Me Mode supports up to UHD 4K30 and slow-motion modes up to 1080p120 with external stitching.
AdaptiveTone automatically balances the brightness, colour and contrast of each lens for sharp, natural-looking videos. Active HDR enhances colours in the highlights and shadows and captures detail in low light.
The X4 Air can process 29 MP photos at a resolution of 7680 x 3840 in-camera, giving you high-quality, instantly shareable photos with minimal noise and vivid colours.
The X4 Air camera also acts as a wide-angle action cam with InstaFrame Mode, by shooting with just one lens, and supports recordings up to UHD 4K60 with a single lens. You can even convert a 360° recording into a split screen using the app.
You don't even need to point the camera to always get the perfect shot. The X4 Air captures every angle, so you simply need to record, capture the moment, and select the best shots later using the handy reframing tools in the Insta360 app.
When the X4 Air is attached to a selfie stick, the stick disappears in your edit, allowing you to create aerial shots and third-person perspectives without needing a second person.
