The addition of Ilford Developer Ilfotec DD Starter 1 litre transforms the Ilfotec DD replenisher at working strength into a developer tank for the machine.

Ilford Developer Ilfotec DD Starter 1 litre

In a replenished developer tank system, Ilfotec DD Starter reduces the activity of fresh developer to simulate a "seasoned" developer — that is, a developer in which the by-products of development are present in a stable equilibrium. This prevents the drop in speed and contrast that occurs as fresh developer becomes "seasoned".
