Hoya 67mm HDX CIR-PL Filter

Hoya HDX CIR-PL 67mm Circular Polarising Filter

The 67mm Hoya HDX CIR-PL is a circular polarising filter of absolute top quality that will keep performing in every situation. Hoya itself even labels the HDX series as the 'Best filter performance in history', which says a lot for a brand that has been at the top for decades when it comes to lens filters. The polarising filter is made from extra hardened glass, giving it, among other things, 4x the tensile strength of traditional filters. The filter has been specially made for today's digital market, in which sensors are more sensitive to reflected light than in the analogue era. The Hoya HDX filter features special coatings on both sides that reduce internal reflections and filter UV haze, delivering a more saturated and sharper image. The 8-layer multi-coating on both sides of this polarising filter ensures maximum optical performance and a light transmission of no less than 99.4% (as much as 25% more light transmission than regular polarising filters). This multi-layer coating also makes the filter water-, dirt-, and scratch-resistant, making it more pleasant to use and longer lasting.

Finally, the mount is made from highly durable black anodised aluminium, which fully seals off the filter glass, preventing moisture and light from entering unwanted. This mount is also extra slim, so you won't experience vignetting, as is the case with many cheaper filters. This makes it perfectly suited for use with wide-angle lenses too.
