DZOFilm Vespid Prime 2 24mm T1.9 PL

The DZOFilm Vespid Prime 2 24mm T1.9 PL is often regarded as one of the most versatile focal lengths in a cine set. It combines a wide angle of view with a natural perspective, making it well-suited to dialogue scenes, handheld work and moving camera shots. The constant T1.9 aperture adds extra flexibility in changing light and leaves room for creative depth of field.

The optical design features 14 elements in 13 groups and is engineered to deliver high sharpness, controlled contrast and consistent colour rendering. Thanks to advanced coatings, reflections and stray light are reduced, resulting in a clean image that grades beautifully. This makes the 24mm a dependable choice for productions that mix multiple lenses from the same series.

With a minimum focus distance of 0.3 metres and minimal focus breathing, this lens is particularly suitable for close wide shots and focus pulls where the frame needs to stay steady. Floating elements help maintain optical performance throughout the entire focus range, from infinity to close focus.

The compact cine build with PL mount, Cooke i metadata and a uniform 80 mm front diameter makes this lens easy to deploy on professional sets. Whether you’re working with a matte box, follow focus or gimbal, the 24mm integrates seamlessly into existing setups.
