Drone Flight Academy DronePilot Basic

The DronePilot Basic course is the minimum required training for the EU drone licence in the higher risk category (EASA Open category A1/A3 + A2). You complete this course entirely online at the Drone Flight Academy. After completing it, you can be confident that you're flying your drone in accordance with the latest EU regulations. You'll also learn to fly more safely and smartly. The course takes approximately 12 hours in total.

The platform consists of an online learning environment and two online theory exams. In the online learning environment, you build up knowledge using texts, videos, images and practice questions. You then complete the course with two online theory exams. The first exam contains 40 questions on basic subjects. The second exam consists of 30 questions. After passing these, you are permitted to fly heavier drones in built-up areas. Once you have passed both exams, you can apply for the European-recognised drone licence through the RDW. After completing this course, you are certified to fly all types of drones.
