Canon XF605
The Canon XF605 is a professional broadcast video camera, specifically designed for fieldwork. This makes it highly suitable for ENG applications and all kinds of live and offline productions. Think sport, events, documentary, streaming, and much more.
The video camera is equipped with a 1" CMOS sensor and a DIGIC DV7 processor. Together, these deliver an image quality of 4K UHD at 60p/50p in 4:2:2 10-bit XF-AVC and MP4. In Full HD, you can shoot up to 120 frames per second, allowing you to capture stunning slow-motion footage. The 4K L-series lens features 15x optical zoom and is fitted with independent rings for zoom, focus, and iris control. Three different image stabilisation modes provide a solution in every situation. In addition, the camera comes with built-in ND and infrared filters for even greater control over available light. Focusing is exceptionally smooth thanks to the advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF, which includes Eye Tracking AF and intelligent head tracking via EOS iTR AF X. This latter technology uses deep learning to continuously track a subject's head, even when the person looks away.
Enjoy a wider dynamic range thanks to versatile recording options. Capture your footage in Canon Log 3 for flexibility during post-production, or record directly in PQ or HLG HDR file formats that are ready to broadcast straight away. You can also record simultaneously to two SD cards in different formats. The XF605 supports the same colour matrices as the Canon Cinema EOS and EOS R systems, allowing footage to be seamlessly matched when using multiple cameras.
Extensive connectivity makes it easy to deploy the XF605 professionally within your live or offline environment. It features 12G-SDI, HDMI, XLR, USB-C, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet for IP streaming. Using the Content Transfer Mobile app, you can edit metadata that complies with the NewsML-G2 standard and transfer footage to your iPhone or upload it directly to FTP servers. The Canon XF605 can be tailored to your preferences with independent controls and 11 assignable buttons. You can also configure everything via the 3.45" LCD touchscreen. A multi-function Hot shoe provides space for additional accessories for even greater functionality.
