Canon XA 65
The Canon XA 65 is a professional 4K streaming camera with excellent image quality, thanks to its 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor, 20x optical zoom, and 5-axis image stabilisation. This streamlined model features a larger 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen display, a tiltable 0.36" OLED EVF with higher resolution, XF-AVC and MP4 recording formats, OSD metadata recording, and a fast USB Type-C video-only output with UVC support for livestreaming to a computer. Using the USB cable, you can use the camera as a webcam. The camera features powerful 5-axis image stabilisation with dynamic mode. The streaming camera's LCD screen with backlight can be set to four brightness levels, making it even easier to view news reports and other outdoor recordings. With a tiltable 0.36" EVF, you can check the image on screen with even the finest details clearly visible. Tilting is possible up to 45 degrees upward.
The camera records in UHD 4K30 and Full HD 1080p60 on two SD card slots, with footage output via a mini HDMI port. The dual SD card slots allow automatic switching from one card to the other, and recordings can be made to both cards simultaneously. The camera can output up to 1920 x 1080p 10-bit 4:2:2 video at 59.94 fps via the mini HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs. This 3G-SDI output is the advantage the XA 65 has over the XA 60. On the audio side, the XA 65 offers up to four channels of LPCM audio in 720p mode with manual/automatic recording levels, two XLR inputs with phantom power, and a 3.5mm stereo mini input. It also features a built-in stereo microphone and a headphone socket.
The lens includes an integrated 20x 4K/HD optical zoom and an eight-blade aperture for more natural-looking highlights. The XA 65 also offers the following professional features: Hybrid, Normal, Face Only, Manual Focus, Instant, and Canon's Medium autofocus; slow and fast-motion recording, fully manual control, optical and electronic image stabilisation, user-assignable buttons, and a DIG!C DV 6 image processor with high sensitivity and low noise.
Image distortion is significantly reduced during recording. With S&F film recording, you can capture Slow & Fast Motion footage with interval recording at a maximum speed of 1200x. In low-light conditions, you can use the infrared mode. With the OSD function, you can record the date, time, timecode, and other on-screen text directly into your footage.
