The Canon RF 85mm f/1.4L VCM has been added to Canon's VCM line-up. This hybrid portrait lens is ideal for both photographers and videographers. Thanks to the large maximum aperture of f/1.4, you can work effortlessly in challenging lighting conditions and create beautiful background bokeh.

This Canon lens features an advanced optical design of 14 elements in 10 groups. Special lens elements have been used, including one aspherical and one UD lens element. Combined with various coatings – such as ASC and Super Spectra – they deliver razor-sharp images with high contrast, free from reflections, ghosting, or lens flare. The fluorine coating on the front element protects against dust, dirt, and fingerprints.

Thanks to the combination of a Voice Coil Motor (VCM) and Nano USM, the autofocus is fast, quiet, and precise. For videographers, there is a Smooth Action Iris Ring that is de-clicked, allowing you to make smooth and silent aperture adjustments. Manual focusing is also extremely smooth. In addition, focus breathing is minimal, meaning the image remains stable when you shift focus – ideal for video recording. For added convenience, the lens features a Lens Control Ring and a customisable function button.

The Canon RF 85mm f/1.4L VCM is built for real-world use. The robust dust- and moisture-resistant construction means you can shoot and film with confidence in all conditions.
