Canon CR-X500
The Canon CR-X500 is the ideal camera if you're looking for a remotely operated camera that can be used with minimal crew for outdoor work. The camera features 15x optical zoom and fits seamlessly into your documentary session, livestream production, reality show, event, or digital film production.
The camera has been specially designed for outdoor use and features IP55 water-resistant protection, preventing dust, water, dirt, or salt from damaging the camera lens and electronics. The CR-X500 incorporates many components also found in Canon's high-resolution cameras and camcorders, including the Canon DIGIC DV6 image processor, a 1-inch Dual Pixel CMOS sensor, a minimum illumination of 3 lux, 15x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom, a wide dynamic range, and video output up to UHD 4K via a 12G-SDI connector. In addition, the Canon CR-X500 offers further professional features, including genlock support, HLG and Canon Log 3 support, as well as built-in ND filters with clear 1/4, 1/16, and 1/64 options.
The camera delivers smooth and precise pan movements with a speed range of 0.5 to 25 degrees per second, and tilt movements with a speed range of 0.3 to 20 degrees per second. It also features a very low ambient noise rating of NC-55 at less than 10 degrees per second. You can easily control the camera using an external controller such as the RS-422 or Canon's own NU serial protocol, using the optionally available RC-IP100 PTZ controller. The built-in lens wiper ensures you don't have to manually clean the lens when it gets wet or dirty. The camera also features an AUX port, allowing you to add an optional wash unit.
