The Broncolor Senso 2400 RFS 2 offers symmetrical or asymmetrical independent control in 1/10-stop increments of each of the three flash head outputs over a range of 6.5 stops. As with all Broncolor products, you can expect a negligible colour shift across the entire range, with a very short flash duration and, in the case of the Senso A4, a recycle time of just 0.4 seconds.
The streamlined design features rubber protective corners and an ergonomic, intuitive push-button and toggle control panel on the pack. The LED readout panels can be set to display f-stop or W/s output. Weighing 6.8 kg, the Senso A4 is portable enough to take on location when needed. The pack can be triggered by cable and photocell, and can be controlled remotely from a camera or computer via the built-in RF receiver at distances of up to 200 metres.
Senso power packs can be switched from symmetrical to asymmetrical power distribution using a toggle switch. In symmetrical mode, the full energy of the power pack can be directed to a single lamp output.
The Broncolor RFS 2 trigger system enables independent flash triggering in the same studio across 99 units per workstation (max. 99 workstations). This feature eliminates unintentional triggering. All Senso power packs can be controlled wirelessly at distances of up to 200 metres. In addition, Senso power packs are also equipped with a photocell and can be triggered by any studio flash.
The control range extends to 6.5 f-stops, giving the photographer plenty of creative flexibility within a lightweight design.
The short recycle time of 0.4 seconds at minimum power or 2.8 seconds at maximum power (230V) allows for rapid flash sequences when shooting moving subjects. The Senso also features both an acoustic and an optical ready signal.
The colour temperature of the Senso power pack remains constant across three f-stops, as unnecessary capacitors are switched off.
The heat generated by all key components of the power pack is continuously monitored by the built-in processor. This protects the power pack against overheating and optimises its service life. The built-in data memory ensures that all settings are retained when the unit is switched off or if the mains power is interrupted. In standby mode and when only the modelling light is in use, the power pack's fan is switched off. It starts operating as soon as it becomes necessary after a certain number of flashes have been fired.
When power is reduced, the Senso power pack is discharged internally and does not need to be fired. This means that the selected flash energy is always delivered reliably.
