Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2
The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 is a powerhouse to update your internet broadcast camera and broadcast camera. It is a broadcast production camera, live studio camera, digital cinema camera in one. The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 can now be used as a 6K digital movie camera recording in Blackmagic RAW format. The large 6K sensor has a resolution of 6144 x 3456 and is flexible for digital film work and broadcasting. Combined with Blackmagic Generation 5 colour science, it gives you the same imaging technology found in digital imaging cameras. The lens mount is compatible with 2/3” B4 lenses, but also includes an EF mount adapter, giving you access to multiple cinema lenses and allowing you to replace the lenses with a PL or F mount.
The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 includes numerous broadcast and field production features. Think of optical ND filters, fine aperture control, a 4” touchscreen LCD with live tally, focus servo support, PGM output, time code generator and so on. It can be recorded in commonly used media formats such as ProRes 422 and 422 HQ, Blackmagic RAW and 10-bit H.264. The two internal CFast 2.0 card slots and SD UHS-II card slots ensure recording. For remote recording, the Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 features a USB 3.1 Gen Type-C output with the optional URSA Mini Recorder or 2.5 mm drive.
The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 allows you to record videos with ambient light and even moonlight! With a gain of -12dB (100 ISO) to +36dB (25,600 ISO). Gain can be set via a camera switch, the LCD menu or remotely using the SDI Remote Camera Control Protocol.
For video recording, the Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 has a professional audio recorder and a high-quality microphone, so you don't have to lug around extra sound equipment. Ideal! You can use the built-in stereo microphone or connect an external microphone. XLR connections are supplied with 48V phantom power. You can use buttons to adjust the levels and meters on the screen. If you place the camera at the end of a table or in another hard-to-reach location, you still have full control via Bluetooth up to 30 m away.All you need to do is download the Blackmagic Camera Control app for your iPad or use third party apps like Bluetooth+ or tRigger on your iOS and Android devices.
All models of Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 have a built-in time code generator, so you can sync all cameras and do multi-camera editing later because all recordings have the same time code. Keep it simple. Just connect an external time code generator to the BNC time code input, the camera will automatically detect the time code and lock the internal generator. Now any camera can start and stop recording, and all cameras have a matching time code!
The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 includes a full version of DaVinci Resolve Studio, which is also widely used in Hollywood for creating superior feature films, television shows, commercials and much more. DaVinci Resolve includes new intelligent editing tools and innovative new features designed to quickly find, edit and quickly execute the footage you want. In addition to the new cutting page, you also get DaVinci's renowned professional editing, advanced colour correction, audio post and visual effects tools, all in a single software application.
