Tenba was born in the heart of New York City, when professional photographer Robert Weinreb was looking for a solution to a common problem: transporting fragile camera equipment safely while traveling and hiking. His first 'camera bag' was an improvised combination of knitted hats in a standard backpack — until he had his ideal design made in a sewing workshop in SoHo, Manhattan. That first prototype laid the foundation for the Tenba brand, which has since become synonymous with robust and thoughtfully designed camera bags.
