HDMI Cables page 7

What is an HDMI cable?

The abbreviation HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface. With this cable you send digital signals for audio and video. An HDMI cable is mainly used to put picture (and sound) from a laptop onto a TV screen, for example. It can also be the in-between connection from the TV's media device to the screen.

When do you use which one?

There are many types of HDMI cables, suited to different HDMI connectors. The standard HDMI is found on TVs, game consoles and Blu-ray players. The mini-HDMI connector often fits digital cameras. There's also the HDMI auto-connector, which is used in cars.
